Teach AI, Starve Yourself: Don't Sell Your Skills Cheap

Agent Skills will explode in 2026. They are copyable job capabilities—and your most valuable asset.

Teach AI, Starve Yourself: Don't Sell Your Skills Cheap

  1. Agent Skills will explode across the board in 2026.

  2. I'll say it again: Agent Skills are human SOPs written as executable rules for AI. The exact structure is in the previous two or three posts.

A Skill isn't a prompt. It's rules + boundaries + acceptance. The danger isn't intelligence—it's copyability.

Four Layers of a SkillRulesWhat to do, what "good" looks likeBoundariesWhen to stop and askAcceptanceHow results are judgedReuseWrite once, run forever
  1. AI has already learned all public knowledge on the internet. In 2026 it will dive into hyper-specific domain knowledge through Agent Skills, down to each role and each person's workflow.

  2. Coze, N8N, Dify haven't even fully blown up yet, and they're already close to becoming niche toys for specialists. Agent Skills are 100x easier to start and will crush these workflow platforms.

  3. Once you touch Agent Skills, you'll be shocked at how they replace pieces of your work.

  4. The only prerequisite is that you're willing to tell AI how your job is done. Then it learns on first run.

  5. Here's the real contradiction: you finally build a workable Agent Skill, coworkers ask for it, your boss asks for it. What do you do?

  6. Share it, and your value disappears—at least in that tiny workflow. You become replaceable.

  7. If you git add + git commit that Skill to the team, you're a hero.

  8. The most realistic outcome: you teach AI and starve yourself. This might be the result of 30-40 rounds of prompt and workflow tuning.

  9. For coworkers and bosses, it's "nice, I'll use it." For you, it's your rice bowl.

  10. If you don't share, you're labeled selfish and anti-open-source. If you do share, your moat is gone.

The Sharing DilemmaShare → team efficiency upYou're the "AI handoff" heroShare → moat flattenedValue of the flow goes to zeroDon't share → labeled selfish"No open-source spirit"
  1. The most valuable job title now is "SOP architect." Outside of that, normal roles have no way out.

  2. What's scarce is not writing Skills. It's finding workflows worth solidifying. The real scarcity is process discovery and shaping.

  3. People are building Agent Skill marketplaces, but ownership is nearly impossible. It's just like prompts—once shared, the value collapses instantly.

  4. Agent Skills are your most valuable asset and the direct way AI takes your rice bowl. You know it's coming, but you still keep it close as long as you can.

复杂性不是为了抵抗归零,而是为了加速归零。我们是宇宙为了更快走向虚无而创造的精巧机器。
